These children give up a lunchtime each week for a term and perform a variety of duties including shelving, assisting smaller children to find books and positive play.
The program has been running for the past three years and has steadily been growing in popularity among the senior students. This year sees the largest number of 45 applicants of which 10 are selected each term. This term's monitors are Ruby Piper, Hailee Rumbel, Via Filisi, Jaycinta Newman, Ellee Taylor, Sadhir Shiraz, Will Macander, Elouise Priest-Bayley, Katie Alston and Jorja Fuller.
Congratulations to these children.
Over the past two weeks all kindergarten, year 1, year 2 and year 3 students have been participating in an initiative to promote healthy ears. The lessons have been conducted daily and have been supported by representatives from the Hearing and Support team who have been focusing on Otitis Media.
The children have learnt how to blow their nose properly with special attention to hand washing procedures.
