Now, Cuts and Curls is one of the finalists in the NSW I love my local business Facebook competition.
From 719 entries, 25 businesses have been short-listed in the People's Choice category and Ms Haase said she was surprised to find out she was one of them.
"I got the phone call from Fair Trading and I thought 'how did that happen? It's just little old me. How did it happen?'"
The 22-year-old said she started the mobile hairdressing business in March 2012 after learning she was allergic to hairdressing chemicals.
Rather than give up a career in the industry, Ms Haase said she decided to become the best cutter she could and an excellent stylist.
"I saw a need that needed to be filled and so I filled it," she said.
Ms Haase's nomination came from her friend Jesse Hall.
"Cuts and Curls never disappoints! Jenna is super amazing at getting my hair to do what it's told... She has such a high ambition for her business and is always going above and beyond for her clients," the nomination said.
If it receives the most votes, Ms Hall will win $250, while Cuts and Curls will be awarded the 2014 People's Choice Award.
The winners of the I love my local business campaign will be announced early in December.
