Mr Owen and wife Becy Owen will be fulfilling their annual end of year commitment to isolated and disadvantaged regional kids through using the charity to provide hundreds of individual and personalised Santa Sacks to select families.
Mr Owen, who has a soft spot for the NSW Western Region as its home to the singer, said the Santa Sacks can bring an enormous amount of joy to those families who are facing tough times- particularly around Christmas time.
"We've had heartbreaking nominations from farming families who have been brought to their knees this year with little money to spare for their kids," Mr Owen said.
"Some children have been through unbelievable challenges such as horrendous medical treatment, have lost a parent through illness, experienced serious farming accidents, drought, bushfires...
"We have aimed to make the nomination process as easy as possible - just nominate yourself or someone you know who needs a helping hand.
"A simple email or contact through our website and a member of the team will be in touch."
Last year Mr Owen embarked on a road trip visiting small schools in regional and rural locations and dropping off Santa Sacks.
He ended up travelling over more than 8,000 kilometer's in 10 days across remote parts of NSW, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
"Many of these kids live in small, remote towns," he said.
"I myself grew up in Albert, NSW which has a population of just 12.
"I was the only child in town, so helping kids who are isolated is a passion of mine."
Nominations opened on Novemember 1 and will remain open until November 28.
